From the From INLE LAKE the silk weavers of Myanmar hand weave together a very rare blend of LOTUS plants that grow only on INLE LAKE and silk fabric. THIS COLLECTION JUST ARRIVED JULY, 2020.
INLE LAKE is a protected BIOSPHERE RESERVE AND RAMSAR SITE of freshwater in the Shan region of Myanmar, populated mostly by devout Buddhists farmers who live in stilted houses high above the lake's water. It is a magical place of floating tomato farms and lake people.
Crazy, fun colors celebrate the warmth of the sun.
We have the ability to help the weavers and support the wonderful people of INLE LAKE by sharing their talents with the world. We were blown away by the bright and happy bed scarves and silky pillows at home with a water-based lake culture preserved from modern machinery.
